Four Long Beach restaurants get OK for outdoor dining.

More Long Beachers will be able to enjoy outdoor dining, after four restaurants received the green light to host their diners on sidewalk patios.

The Long Beach City Council voted 7-0 Tuesday to permit sidewalk dining at the locations.

The restaurants that received the OK were The Shore Public House and Sushi Ai on Second Street in Belmont Shore, the Potholder Cafe on Broadway in Belmont Heights and Willmore Wine Bar on Atlantic Avenue in Bixby Knolls.

Potholder’s outdoor dining would extend out onto Euclid Avenue and not onto Broadway. The other restaurants would have patios with two to three tables near the restaurants’ entrances, according to plans submitted with the city.
