As many of you know, an important discussion is taking place concerning future operations at Long Beach Airport. A recent letter to the Uptown Gazette Newspaper by Eighth District Councilmember Al Austin identifies the discussion, the need to stay informed and invites residents to attend a special airport study session at City Council Chambers on Tuesday, February 17 at 4pm. The topic surrounds the possible installation of a Federal US Customs facility and international flights at LGB.
The study session is informational only, but we encourage residents to attend, if possible, to become more educated with the issues and concerns and participate as informed citizens as the decision making process unfolds.
